Woman commits suicide along with her daughter

Dharwad, July 24 (UNI) A woman committed suicide by consuming a poison along with her daughter at Mumigatti near here today.

Police said that Kavita Chavan before committing suicide forced her three daughters to drink the poison.

Prema, one and half year old died at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences at Hubli while other two daughters were in a serious condition, they said.

The reason for the extreme step taken by Kavita is yet to be ascertained, police said.

Kavita's husband runs a small canteen on the national highway near here, they said.
