Underconstruction buildings may not get BMC water

Mumbai, Jul 22 (UNI) All the underconstruction buildings in the city may not receive water from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for continuing the construction work, if the Standing Committee passes a proposal in this regard at a meeting tomorrow.

According to BMC officials, the metropolis is facing a 15 per cent water cut as it had received less rainfall this month and the water cut to the underconstruction buildings would lower the burden on the corporation till rain revives.

The civic official added that if the Standing Committee passes the proposal tomorrow, the developers of underconstruction buildings may have to get water from private tankers.
