When Somnath Chatterjee showed his magnanimity for Vajpayee
New Delhi, July 22 : Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee showed his magnanimity in Parliament when he gave special permission to former Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee to leave the lobby on health grounds.
He said: "Lobby has been opened for Vajpayeeji, not for others. He has already voted and he can leave, if he wants to. Let Vajapyeeji leave, he is ill."
Later, he also allowed three other ill Members of Parliament to leave the lobby on health grounds.
