Three women get life imprisonment in murder case

Patna, Jul 21 (UNI) Three women of a family were given rigorous life imprisonment in a murder case here today.

Justice Ajit Kumar Sinha of the fast track court sentenced the three women to life imprisonment after they were found guilty in the murder case.

According to the charges, Bimala Devi along with her two daughters-- Babita Devi and Rekha Kumari-- all the convicts-- residents of a locality under Patliputra police station in Patna, had set ablaze one Savitri Manik leading to her death during treatment in a hospital on April 20, 2006.

The motive behind the killing was stated to be property dispute as mentioned in the FIR.
