4 militants shot dead, 5 civilians injured in encounters

Imphal, Jul 21 (UNI) Altogether four suspected militants were killed and five civilians injured in separate encounters here.

Police said here today that two suspected militants were gunned down by police commandos while five civilians sustained wounds in an encounter last night at Keishampat, Imphal.

The injured included three women and a minor boy.

Who were recovering at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.

In a separate incident, a suspected militant was shot dead near Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal East and another militant was killed at Thoubal district.
