RPI to support UPA in trust vote
Raipur, July 20 (UNI) Republican Party of India (RPI) President and MP Ramdas Athawale has said his party would vote in favour of the United Progressive Alliance Government during the trust vote.
Mr Athawale told reporters here last night that the RPI had a lone MP in Parliament in him. However, presence of even one MP was important under present circumstances.
He denied that there had been a deal with him to vote in the favour of the UPA Government.
Strongly criticising the Left parties, he said their partymen had stooped so low that they are making speculation about the name of next Prime Minister without the Centre loosing the vote of confidence.
He said the Left parties had always been opposed to communal forces but had been exposed by their attempts to join hands with the BJP and other casteist parties.
