Political parties must clear the mist in J and K, PDP
Srinagar, Jul 20 (UNI) Hailing the people of Jammu and Kashmir for foiling the sinister designs of communal forces during recent crisis, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said it is now the responsibility of all political parties to clear the mist so that public opinion does not get blurred.
Addressing workers convention in Bandipora, about 55 km from here in North Kashmir, PDP General Secretary Nizamuddin Bhat said people of the state deserve applauds, as they withstood sinister designs of communal forces, who tried to divided the state on communal lines.
Mr Bhat said since the political activity in the state, which came to a standstill in the recent crisis, had restarted, the first and foremost responsibility of the political parties would be to clear the mist so that the public opinion would not get blurred.
He expressed the hope that collective resolve and commitment of the people of the state towards peace and harmony would pave the way for economic and political stability in the region.
He appealed people to be vigilant against divisive forces like the BJP and Sangh Parivar who have been all through uneasy about this uniqueness of unity in diversity of the state,'' the General Secretary said.
''These forces are hell bent on destroying this unity and divide people on communal lines, he said and appealed to people of the state to unitedly frustrate the evil designs of these divisive forces.
Mr Bhat, MLC, also appealed to people to exercise their right to vote so that the genuine leadership emerges and their aspirations are fulfilled.
