Left, NDA misleading people on N-deal: Kharge

Bangalore, Jul 19 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjuna Kharge today alleged the Left and NDA were misleading the people on the Indo-US Nuclear Deal.

Addressing the City Youth Congress at a function to wish the Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government at the Centre all the success in the crucial 'Vote of Confidence' on July 22 in Parliament, he said the Left and Opposition BJP-led NDA should have supported the deal keeping in view the need for strengthening power position in the country.

Instead, they were spreading wrong message to mislead the people, he alleged.

Mr Kharge said the deal would not only help the country in overcoming power problem but also lead to reduction in prices of essential commodities.

He said the function was held not only to wish for the success of the UPA Government on July 22 but also to educate the public on the Nuclear Deal and put before them the facts to counter the misleading statements by the Left and Opposition party leaders.
