Doctor, his wife end their lives in Rajkot Dist

Rajkot, Jul 19 (UNI) A doctor and his wife allegedly committed suicide at their residence by consuming poison in Dhoraji town of Rajkot district.

According to police, bodies of Dr D G Patel and his wife Madhuben were found this morning from their room. A suicide note was also recovered from the place.

In a suicide note, the couple had stated that they were taking this extreme step on their own and no one was responsible for it.

Apparently, the couple took the extreme step under mental stress, sources said, adding, doctor was suffering from bladder cancer.

Madhuben was doctor's second wife.

The bodies of couple sent for postmortem at government hospital, sources added.
