UHBVN to give additional incentive to informer of theft cases

Chandigarh, Jul 18 (UNI) The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has decided to pay more incentive to the informer of the cases of power theft under the new scheme.

The Nigam has decided to give 40 per cent of the recovered amount of penalty to the informer and his identity will not be disclosed. There will be no maximum limit of the incentive or award.

Giving details, a spokesman said here today that the Nigam would also pay 20 percent of the total recovered amount to the officers and staff. The members of raiding party will be paid 12 percent of the amount.

On detection of theft, the Nigam would immediately pay minimum Rs 1000 to the informer. The spokesman further stated that the scheme has been introduced in order to curb the menace of pilferage of power.
