Orissa to recruit Security Personnel to combat naxality menace
Bhubaneswar, July 18 (UNI) Orison Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said more security personnel would be recruited and imparted better training to combat naxality menace in the state.
Reviewing the situation after returning from Delhi this evening in the wake of killing of 17 Police Personnel in a land mine blast at MV126 village in Malkangiri by left wing ultras a couple of days back, Mr Patnaik said intelligence network would be further upgraded and strengthened.
Replying to a questions about the discontentment in the Police Force Mr Patnaik said the Security Personnel have some grievances and the government would do whatever could be done within ''our resources''.
When asked about the involvement of any foreign hand in the incident, Mr Patnaik said '' no such things have been brought to my notice so far. He however, said in case of any such involvement of any foreign hand, it would be looked into and investigated thoroughly.'' On his arrival from Delhi, Mr Patnaik said all BJD MPs would vote against Congress led UPA government. The Congress led UPA had not taken all political parties in to confidence on the nuclear deal The Chief Minister also affirmed that the trust vote sought by the Congress in Parliament on July 22 would not affect his party in any way. The UPA government will loss the vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha and a fresh election would be held soon, he said adding that his party was ready to face elections at any time.
