Kochi, July 18 (UNI) Mahindra&Mahindra, India's leader in the utility vehicles segment, is aiming to touch a sales target of 4,000 units per month across the country and attain a market share of 30 to 40 per cent in the newly introduced 'Scorpio V-series' in Kerala.
Launching the series in the city today, Company's Marketing General Manager Ashish Malik said the new series offers customers dual advantage --a technologically superior, more refined and fuel efficient engine coupled with innovative, hi-tech features, which would provide passengers greater luxury.
The market potential for the series is very encouraging and the all-India sales target is 4,000 units per month and for Kerala the aim would be to sell 3,000 units annually and garner 40 per cent market share, he added.
He said the new Scorpio VLS, which comes under the new series, is powered by the revolutionary mHawk engine and priced at Rs 9,68,000.
When asked whether the spiralling fuel prices would affect the sales, Mr Malik said '' price rise would not affect the high-end customers, who could afford to shell out close to ten lakhs for the vehicle.'' With the pathbreaking technology and user-friendly modern features, the Scorpio V-series is a clear validation of the company's customer-centric approach to business, he added.
Th series has superlative features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), immobiliser, CD-MP3 player with pen drive&SD card and trendy captain seats.
