Tripura: 3 students get award for poster painting

Agartala, Jul 17: The Ministry of Earth Science would award three school students from Tripura, shortlisted in a national level painting competition held on World Earth Day.

The theme of the painting competition was 'Save the Planet - Water Conservation and Environment Protection', organised by the Agromet Advisory Service of ICAR, Tripura, on behalf of the Ministry and selectd nine best painters out of 300 contestants from across the country.

The Technical Officer of the Agromet Advisory Service of ICAR said here today that the Ministry of Earth Science had decided to observe World Earth Day from this year to motivate the students in conservation of natural resources and save the planet for future generations.

The shortlisted contestants would be awarded on July 27, the foundation day of Ministry of Earth Science at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
