Macca set for Israel gig after 43yr Beatles ban is removed
London, July 17 : Legendry singer Paul McCartney is beyond excited that he will soon be performing in Israel, since its been 43 years the Beatles were banned from the country. The Israeli government banned the Fab Four from performing on their shores in 1965 on public moral grounds. Since then however, the country has made a formal apology.
According to reports, the 66 year old singer is in talks to play to a crowd of 250,000 in Tel Aviv.
"Paul is desperate to put Israel on the map of places he's performed," the Sun quoted a source, as saying.
Concerned organizers are busy hammering out a stringent security plan as McCartney performs in Quebec this weekend.
