HC dismisses bail plea of Madhavan's accomplice

Kochi, Jul 17 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today dismissed the bail plea of R Gireesh, an associate of fake Godman Santosh Madhavan, who was arrested on the charge of misappropriation of funds.

Justice K Hema dismissed the bail application on the ground that granting plea would adversely affect the investigation in the case.

The Crime Branch had registered a case against Gireesh, who was arrested yesterday on the charge that he along with Madhavan had misappropriated funds collected for Santhitheeram Charitable Trust, floated by the fake swami, and had used that money for real estate business.

Meanwhile, the court reserved orders till Monday on the bail application of Madhavan, who had been arrested on various charges, including raping minors.
