Former CJI Lahoti nominated executive council member of Kumaon Univ

Dehra Dun, Jul 17 (UNI) Former Chief Justice of India R C Lahoti has been nominated as an executive council member of the Kumaon University in Uttarakhand.

Along with him, renowned journalist Mrinal Pandey, educationist Amla Batra and founder president of Nescom Saurabh Srivastava have also been nominated as council members, State Governor B L Joshi said in a statement here.

The two-year nominations were done to strengthen and facilitate qualitative changes in the education system of the state, the statement further added.
