Moti Sagar launches 'Jai Shri Krishna' on Colors Channel

Ahmedabad, Jul 16 (UNI) Moti Sagar, son of famouse film director Ramananad Sagar, today unveieled 'Jai Shri Krishna' an epic tale that sings the childhood glory of Lord Krish 'Natkhat Gopal' at ISKON Temple here.

Talking to media persons here, Mr Sagar said, ''Jai Shri Krishna is the joyful story of Krishna's childhood adventures. A multi-layered, magnificent epic tale of this universal God transcends across all age groups with his mischievous yet, sweet and playful actions compelling the Gopis Mathura to designate him as 'Makhan Chor'.'' The Meenakshi Saagar Productions' serial will be aired at prime time of 2030 hours daily on Colors Television Channel from July 21.

Mr Sagar said, ''The serial is aimed at countering cultural invasion of Western culture on Indian values and ethics, particularly on new and young generations.'' When asked, he affarmatively said, ''Yes, this epic serial will revive the magic of 90s Ramayana and Mahahbharat television serials which virutally swept the Indian subcontinent.'' Mr Sagar said, ''The serial is mainly shoot in real locations and in Lata Mangeshkar's studio located in Kohlapur in Maharashtra.'' Though director avoided to commit on specifying the number of episodes on the serial, he confidently said that it would not be streched like any 'Sash-Bahu' sagas based on their popularity and acceptibility by the viewers.
