Junior doctors of Lala Lajpat Rai hospital go on strike
Kanpur, July 16 (UNI) Junior doctors of Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) hospital today went on strike, following a clash with relatives of a woman, who died in the hospital this morning.
According to reports, Jai Devi (35), resident of Rawatpur village, was admitted in LLR hospital on Sunday. However, she succumbed in the hospital today. The relatives of the deceased alleged that due to carelessness of the doctors their patient died.
The relatives also scuffled with some junior doctors, who later boycotted the work in protest.
The doctor lodged a report with Swroop Nagar police station for high-handedness by the relatives of the deceased.
Police were investigating the case.
