New Delhi, Jul 16 (UNI) For the second day today, Delhi experienced hot and humid conditions with the mercury rising to 35.5 degree Celsius.
The humidity levels in the city rose to 85 per cent, leading to a rise in maximum temperature, from 34.5 degrees yesterday to 35.5 degrees.
After heavy rains on Monday, it was another rainless day, with the sunny conditions interspersed with cloudy intervals.
The coming days could witness relief from humid conditions with weathermen forecasting thundry development with light rains in some areas.
Also, weathermen have forecast widespread rainfall in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India towards the weekend.
''Fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely over Northeastern states, Gangetic plains, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala from Saturday onwards,''the Met office said.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with likelihood of thundry development and light rain in some areas.
