Shivpal slams BSP for attack on SP MLA
Kanpur, July 15 (UNI) Condemning the attack on party MLA Irfan Solanki, Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi Party (SP) acting president Shivpal Singh Yadav today alleged that the miscreants were still at large as they were being sheltered by the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
''Had the BSP not been giving protection, the accused would have been arrested,'' Mr Yadav said, while asking about the health of the wounded at a hospital here.
It was a pre-planned ploy. The law and order condition have deteriorated under the current BSP rule to such an extent that even the people's representatives were not safe and being attacked, the SP leader charged.
Anarachy was spread all around in UP. He further warned of protest, if the accused were not arrested soon.
Armed miscreants had attacked Mr Solanki late yesterday near Banthra in Unnao, about 25 km from here.
Two brothers of the MLA were also wounded in the incident.
