Rs 9.6 lakh looted from institute's admin office
Nashik, Jul 15 (UNI) Miscreants looted Rs 9,60,000 from Nashik District Maratha Vidaya Prasarak Samaj (NDMVPS) office here, police said today.
The NDMVPS office, situated in the KTHM College premises on Gangpur Road, was locked after work on Saturday evening. Yesterday, when the employees resumed work, they noticed that the accounts department door lock was broken. On further search, a cupboard in the office was also broken and Rs 9,60,000 cash along with few documents were missing.
A complaint was lodged with Sarkarwada police in this regard. One of the watchmen of the office, Chandrabahadu Sonar, was taken into police custody in connection to this and further investigations were under progress.
