PUCL Kerala unit elects new office bearers

Kochi. Jul 15 (UNI) Mr P Chandrasekhar of Ernakulam and Mr P A Pauran of Malappuram were elected as State unit President and General Secretary, respectively of People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL).

In a recent State convention here, Mr Jacob Laser of Kottayam was elected as the treasurer, according to an official statement today.

The convention urged the Chattisgarh Government to immediately release PUCL All-India Vice-President Dr Binayak Sen, who had been illegally arrested last year.
