Hindu Mahasabha comes out with support for Nuke deal
New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) Support for the UPA government's Nuclear deal has come from an unexpected quarter with Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha denouncing the political leaders for making it a communal issue and also turning it into a corporate war.
Asking people to support the proposed deal, Mahasabha's National President Swami Chakrapani said all political parties should bury their hatchets and abide by the observations and advice of the experts and specialists of this sensitive sector.
In a statement, he regretted the ''unnecessary politicisation'' of the vital national issue and wondered how could some parties oppose the Government on it.
''India's national prowess is the result of efforts of our scientific community, which has shown the world that even with meagre resources, Indians can develop state-of-the art nuclear technologies in hi-tech areas,'' he said.
