Hamirpur has tourism potential : Dhumal
Shimla, Jul 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that Taal near Didwin Tikkar in Hamirpur district would be developed as a tourist destination.
The task of preparing its design would be entrusted to engineers of NIT, Hamirpur, he said while addressing the 'Pratibha Samman Samaroh' organized by the DAV Public School, Hamirpur, after laying the foundation stone of new school complex at Salasi near the Hamirpur town.
Hamirpur has the tourism potential and infrastructure upgradation was the need of the hour, he said, adding Rs six crore would be spent on it in the near future.
The Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh had a vast tourism potential which would be exploited through concerted efforts.
Way-side amenities would be created for tourists visiting the state.
