Soren and six others acquitted by Dumka court

Dumka, Jul 14 (UNI) A local court today acquitted seven people, including former Union minister and president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Sibu Soren, in a case of violation of model code of conduct lodged in this district.

According to the prosecution, the court of Judicial Magistrate Premshanker acquitted all the accused as the Opposition failed to produce adequate witnesses in this matter.

A case against Mr Soren and six others was lodged in Ramgarh Police Station of the district accusing them of luring voters during Parliament elections held in 2004.
