One killed, another injured in shootout in Haryana

Panipat, Jul 14 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured in a shoot out at Lal Batti Chowk under the elevated flyover on NH-I here this morning, police reports stated.

According to the police Roki , a resident of Babail village in the district was killed when three armed miscreants identified as Vikas, Jitender and Vikas Kumar, all of Baroda village allegedly fired at him. The deceased before scummbing to his injuries also opened fire at his attackers and injured Jitender.

The police have arrested all the three alleged accused and a case under sections 302 and 34 of IPC and Arms Act has been registered against them in City police station here. The body of the victim was handed over to his family members after post mortem while the injured Jitender has also been admitted in the civil hospital here.

According to the police, the deceased and the three alleged accused were relatives and were involved in a property dispute.
