VHP detremined to take back Amarnath Board land: Togadia
Hisar, Jul 13 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) general secretary Praveen Togadia today categorically stated that the VHP was determined to take back the land belonging to the Amarnath Shrine Board in Jammu and Kashmir.
''Governor N N Vohra and former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad should be prosecuted for interfering in the working of the Board, an autonomous body,'' he said while talking to mediapersons here.
Mr Togadia was here to take part in the concluding session of the three-day convention of the Haryana unit of VHP. He announced that VHP has chalked out an action plan which will be executed within 15 days to make the people aware of the wrong doings of Jammu and Kashmir government. The appeasement policy of the Union and J and K Governments has hurt the feelings of more than five lakh pilgrims on a pilgrimage to the Amarnath shrine, he added.
Though VHP is against mixing politics with religion but the issue of Amarnath Shrine Board is going to be an issue in the next Lok Sabha polls he said and added that this would cost the Congress dearly.
The land in question was given to the Board after completing all legal and other formalities, so it should be immediately restored, he added.
