Power cut due to shortage of rains: AP Minister
Kakinada, Jul 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Konijeti Rosaiah today said the present power cut in the state was due to insufficient rains but not the failure of the government.
As there was less rains, the government had no option but to regulate the available power supply, he told newspersons here.
The government was ready to purchase power from other states, but the situation in other states was also not different, he said.
Making it clear that the government was not hiding anything on the power supply position, he said the power distribution companies were instructed to notify the power cuts timings instead of erratic supply.
