Nitin Gadkari has maligned my brother's image: Prakash Mahajan

Aurangabad, Jul 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Prakash Mahajan, brother of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, today alleged that BJP state unit president Nitin Gadkari has maligned the image of his brother.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Mahajan, who is the MNS candidate from the Marathwada graduate constituency, said according to a newspaper report a senior BJP leader had used bad words for Pramod Mahajan in front of the Vidhan Bhavan on April 24.

''The senior leader is none other than Nitin Gadkari, who used to move around late Pramod Mahajan to get a post in ministry,'' he said.

It may be noted that Mr Gadkari had challenged Mr Mahajan to name the leader who had used bad words for his late brother.

''This challenge forced me to break the ice about the incident that occurred in front of Vidhan Bhavan,'' he said.

Mr Gadkari had also said that Mr Mahajan had never respected his late brother.

On this issue, Mr Mahajan said Mr Gadkari should show a single example of him disrespecting his brother, otherwise, he should tender a public apology.

''I have never misused the name of my late brother. However, it will not be wrong to seek votes on his name. I am the only political heir of my brother,'' he said.
