Mrs and Vijaya Mallya owned 'Set Alight' wins the Kingfisher Derby

Bangalore, Jul 13 (UNI) Mrs and Dr Vijaya Mallya owned 'Set Alight' lifted the prestigious 'Kingfisher Derby 2008' with thousands of race lovers cheering.

This is the 21st year of Kingfisher Derby and this year the prize money stacked upto to a whooping Rs 1.18 Crore, the second highest prize money being given out in India.

Jockey Narredu, who was at front right from the beginning finished 2000 M in 2:02.32 secs pushing behind C Alford ridden 'Archipenko', and A Imran Khan ridden 'Star Presentation' which finished second and third respectively. 'Set Alight" won by Seven length distance.
