5 labourers burnt at Sanjay Gandhi power plant
Umaria, MP, July 13 (UNI) Five labourers today sustained burn injuries when came into contact with red-hot ash at a production unit in the Sanjay Gandhi thermal power project at Birsinghpur Pali in this district.
The victims -- Murli Manohar (30), Suresh Kumar(30), Sunder Singh(30), Rakesh Jharia(24) and Chain Singh(25) -- were cleaning a chamber of boiler paint house of the project's 210 MW unit no 2 when red-hot ash fell on them, project sources said.
The severely burnt labourers were rushed to dispensary at the project. Later, they were sent to Jabalpur. The condition of two victims was critical, sources added.
