320 villages identified as poverty-stricken in Tripura

Agartala, July 13 (UNI) The Tripura government has identified 320 villages of 35 Revenue Blocks in the state as poverty-stricken and decided to double ration supply to the villagers with immediate effect, along with taking other administrative initiatives.

Official sources said here today that follwing media reports, the State Rural Development Department had conducted extensive studies on poverty and infrastructure scarcity in the villages.
