Villagers hoist black flags atop houses against Guru's detention

Perambalur, Jul 12 (UNI) Most of the villagers in this district today hoisted black flgs atop their houses to protest against the detention of Pattali Makkal Katchi former MLA and Tamil Nadu Vanniyar Sangam president, J Guru, under the National Security Act.

The flags were hoisted in Agaram Sigur, Pongalur, Keela Perambalur, Kai Perambalur, Prumathur, Sirumathur and ten other villages, police said.
