TN Govt fixes Rs 100 as montly rental for Cable TV connections
Chennai, Jul 12 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government today fixed Rs 100 as the montly subscription rate for availing Cable TV connections in the state.
In a public announcement, the government said it was starting the Arasu Cable TV Corporation (ACTC) only for the benefit of public and the rental should not exceed Rs 100 per month.
The government had no intention to make revenue by launching the ACTC as it was aimed at providing quality Cable connections and streamline subscription rate.
The ACTC would be officially launched by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Thanjavur on July 15.
