MHA deliberates steps to curb factional clashes in Nagaland
New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) The Centre has reviewed the security situation in Nagaland in view of the recent incidents of violence and factional clashes in the state.
Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta chaired a high-level meeting yesterday that discussed the possible measures to see how ceasefire ground rules can be properly implemented in close co-ordination of various agencies.
The Chief Secretary of Nagaland and senior officers from the Army and security agencies were among those present at the meeting.
The meeting is crucial in view of the fear psychosis prevailing in the state due to the factional clashes. The factional tussle between the NSCN-IM and the NSCN-Unification has led to spurt in violence.
