Dr Talwar must sue UP police for character assassination: Renuka

New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury today said parents of Aarushi Talwar must sue the Uttar Pradesh police for defamation and character assassination by casting aspersions on them without having any evidence against them.

Ms Chowdhury also demanded suspension of the Noida police officials in this regard.

She said Dr Rajesh Talwar was accused by the Uttar Pradesh police of killing his only daughter, Aarushi. The family not only lost Aarushi, but also had to undergo immense psychological and mental agony because of this. Thus, they must sue the UP police.

Asserting that nothing could bring Aarushi back, the minister said the state police had no right to cast aspersions on her and her family members.

Dr Talwar, who was earlier arrested in connection with murder of Aarushi and his domestic help Hemraj, was today released after CBI found no evidence against him, while his compounder Krishna, domestic servant of Dr Prafful Durani and another domestic servant have been arrested for dual murder.
