BJP meeting to finalise first list of candidates for UP

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) Going ahead with its poll preparations, the BJP this morning began the process of finalising its candidates for the coming Lok Sabha elections due early next year.

The party's Central Election Committee meeting is underway to finalise candidatures for Uttar Pradesh. Sources said the CEC was likely to release the first list of about 20 to 25 candidates.

After the CEC meeting, the Central Management Committee of the party would also meet to review poll preparations and management.
