Tension over descreation of place of worship

Bangalore, Jul 11(UNI) Tension prevailed in J C Nagar in the city following reports that some miscreants allegedly threw some meat near two prayer halls early today.

Follwing this some people belonging to a particular community, registered their protest by blocking the city's main junction in protest against the act. They also indulged in stone pelting on moving vehicles in the busy junction which connects Bangalore International Airport to the city, police said.

The protestors demanded immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for the act, Senior police officers with additional forces visited the spot and pacified the agitators.

The situation was tense but under control, police added.
