UP: Senior scribe killed in road accident
Lucknow, Jul 11: Three people, including senior journalist Ved Prakash Chauhan, were killed and four other scribes were injured when their car dashed against a roadside tree near Latbazar under Jiyanpur police station today.
The accident occured on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway in which Chauhan, senior journalist of Amarujala newspaper published from Gorakhpur, press photographer Kamal Yadav and driver of the car died on the spot.
According to police, P P Sahi, Vivek Pandey, Mukesh Pandey and Yogeshwar Singh, all journalists from Gorakhpur, were admitted to hospital with injuries.
The scribes were returning to Gorakhpur after attending a marriage ceremony at Varanasi.
