Sunny weather, sultry conditions persist in Delhi
New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Sultry conditions continued in Delhi for the second day today with sunny weather, coupled with high levels of humidity, leaving Delhiites in acute perspiration.
The bright sunlight and high humidity level of nearly 100 per cent led to a rise in the minimum temperature, from 25 degrees Celsius yesterday, to 26.4 degrees, one degree below normal.
It was another rainless day today as the weather alternated between sunny and partly cloudy.
The coming days could, however, witness see some rainfall with the weathermen forecasting widespread rainfall in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India towards the weekend.
''Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places over West Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi during the next 48 hours and increase thereafter. Fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely over the Indo-Gangetic Plains from July 13 onwards,''the weather office said.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the possibility of light rain or thundershowers in some areas.
