Software exports from Chandigarh to cross Rs 4,500 crore
Chandigarh, July 10 (UNI) Software exports from the city is expected to cross Rs 4,500 crore by 2011, Chandigarh Information Technology Director M S Brar said today.
The software exports from Chandigarh have already increased from 57 crores in 2004-05 to nearly 400 crores in 2007-08, he said.
The fourth edition of eRevolution 2008, the mega IT event, will address the theme of 'The Changing Landscape: Creating new trends and opportunities'. The conclave will draw business delegations, academicians, visitors, speakers and Government dignitaries from all over the country.
The event will open tremendous opportunities to learn best practices for business with small, medium and large companies. More than 700 delegates are expected to participate this year.
The key highlights of the conclave will include an array of keynote presentation and panel discussion by entrepreneurs, CEO's and other industry experts. Together they will touch upon topics of creating conducive business environment, ecosystem for sustaining IT talent, new technology trends and opportunities.
There will be special focus on growing entrepreneurship in the region and corporate social responsibility.
