Six policemen seriously injured in road accident
Kancheepuram, July 10 (UNI) Six policemen, including a CBCID Inspector were seriously injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near here today.
Police said the mishap occurred when the victims were proceeding from Madurai to Chennai to nab a killer. While trying to overtake the lorry, the van collided with it at Arya Perumbakkam Road on Chennai-Bangalore Highway.
They were admitted to the Government Hospital here.
The injured were identified as Marirajan Inspector(45), Kannan, Bhaskar, Vanaveerapandian, Vivek and Murugaian.
