Nagaland: Two NSCN cadres killed in Dimapur

Kohima, Jul 10: In the unabated inter-factional clash between rival factions of the NSCN, two cadres of the GPRN/NSCN were shot dead in Diphupar area of Dimapur town.

Official sources said here today that some ultras, suspected to be from the NSCN-IM, abducted two GPRN/NSCN cadres and shot them dead at the L Khel area of Diphupar village yesterday.

Police recovered the bodies of the slain cadres and sent them for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, GPRN/NSCN sources informed the local dailies that both the activists ''had fought bravely and killed three of the rival cadres, one of whom died on the spot and two succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.'' However, there was no official confirmation of any more killings.
