JK govt to reappoint retired revenue officials
Srinagar, Jul 10: Facing a shortage of experienced revenue officials, the Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to appoint retired Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris in the state.
Deputy Commissioners of different districts in the state have issued notifications seeking applications for re-employment on contractual basis from retired Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris.
However, it said the applicant should not be above 65 years of age.
In a fresh notification Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama has said that application from the intending retired officials should reach his office by July 19, 2008.
The government employees are retiring at the age of 58 years in the state.
