Composite index of metals, energy rise to 3,192.56 points

Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities was up by 0.17 per cent to 3,192.56 points, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.

Gold February 09 contract rose by 2.51 per cent, to Rs 13,226 per 10 grams and gold April 09 contract by 0.73 per cent to Rs 13,300 per 10 grams, a MCX release said.

Platinum September 08 contract inched up by 0.79 per cent to Rs 27,793 per 10 grams.

Aluminum August 08 contract gained by 3.83 per cent to Rs 142.25 per kg, lead August 08 and July 08 contract went up by 5.74 per cent to Rs 82.85 per kg and 6.10 per cent to Rs 81.70 per kg respectively. Nickel September 08 rose by 2.60 per cent to Rs 972 per kg and zinc September 08 contract by 5.48 per cent to Rs 85.65 per kg.

Cardamom August 08 contract edged up by 2.91 per cent to Rs 627.25 per kg, and menthe oil July 08 contract by 4.01 per cent to Rs 664.80 per kg.
