Narendra to vote for UPA if Telangana assured
Hyderabad, Jul 09 (UNI) Former Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and MP A Narendra today said he would extend support to the UPA if Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh assured the formation of seperate Telangana state.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Narendra, who was expelled from the TRS after his alleged involvement in the 'human smuggling' scam, said he would support UPA which became a minority government after the Left parties withdrew support. But the UPA should come forward with a firm assurance on the Telangana state.
Claiming that he was receiving telephone calls from the Congress leaders from New Delhi seeking his support since yesterday, he said 'now, the route was clear for the UPA on Telangana issue after the Left parties, particularly CPI (M), which were opposing the statehood, withdrew'.
