Cabinet condoles deaths of Maneckshaw, Dharmadhikari

Mumbai, Jul 9 (UNI) The Maharashtra Cabinet today condoled the deaths of Field Marshal Sam Meneckshaw and Maharashtra Bhushan Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari.

A condolence motion, read out by chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, described Maneckshaw as a veteran warrior, whose leadership gave India victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan.

The motion said Dharmadhikari had done a great service to society by asking people to give up various addictions.
