Water levels of 3 lakes increase, 2 come down, 1 unchanged
Mumbai, Jul 8 (UNI) The water level of three lakes supplying water to the metropolis has increased, the level of two has come down and level of one lake is unchanged with the city and the surrounding areas receiving moderate rainfall.
According to civic officials, the water level of Modak Sagar has increased by 0.09 THD (tendring hundred) to 159.28 THD, level of Upper Vaitarna has increased by 0.03 MSL to 596.53 MSL (middle sea level), level of Bhatsa has increased by 0.20 MSL to 106.80 MSL.
Meanwhile, the water level of Tansa has come down by 0.01 THD to 123.02 THD, water level of Tulsi has come down by 0.01 to 137.2 THD, while the water level of Vihar has remained unchanged.
Rainfall received by Colaba is 4.4 mm, whereas Santacruz recorded a rainfall of 5.8 mm in the last 24 hours, ending this morning.
