Over Rs 10 Lakh looted from Bank of Baroda branch in Raj
Jaipur, Jul 8 (UNI) In yet another bank robbery, robbers today looted Rs 10 lakh from a Bank of Baroda branch in Hindon city of Karauli district after murdering the bank cashier.
According to police sources three robbers committed the loot while bank cashier Mahesh Sanghi was entering the branch around 1300 hrs with the cash which was being transferred from another bank branch.
The miscreants opened fire and grabbed the cash. The firing left Sanghi dead and one other injured.
The robbers later succeeded in making off with the booty, the sources said.
This is the third incident of a bank robbery in the state during past three months.
Earlier, on Saturday last, two armed youths had looted over Rs 14 lakh from a State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur(SBBJ) branch in Murlipura here.
In May, the robbers had looted Rs 19 lakh from a Central Bank of India branch in busy Johri Bazar locality here.
Cases of none of these robberies could be solved so far.
