Israel,Germany condemn terrorist attack in Kabul, call for action

New Delhi, Jul 8 (UNI) Germany and Israel today strongly condemned the terrorist attack at the Indian embassy in Kabul yesterday in which 41 people were killed and more than a 100 wounded, and called for strongest possible action against the perpetrators. Israel, while condemning the ''atrocious attack,'' stressed the need for concerted action against the terrorist organisations.

Director General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Aaron Abramovich, who is currently on a three-day official visit to India, said there could never be any justification for terrorism.

''There can never be any justification for terrorism whatever its cause.. As a country that has suffered so greatly at the hands of Islamic fundamentalist terror, Israel understands the need for concerted international action against those organisations which carry out such murderous acts and those countries which support them,'' he said.

A statement issued by the German Embassy here said the terrorists's aim is to prevent establishment of law, order and democracy in Afghanistan.

It called for strong action against the perpetrators of the attack.

''The Federal Government condemns in the strongest possible terms the murderous attack near the Indian Embassy in Kabul which cost the lives of numerous innocent bystanders. We share the Afghan people's shock and sadness, and also assure the Indian Government of our sympathy...The terrorists' aim is to prevent the establishment of law, order and democracy in Afghanistan. For that reason we are counting on the Afghan authorities to work swiftly -- the instigators of this attack must be apprehended and brought to justice immediately,'' the statement said.
